Quinebaug Lake State Park, also known as Quinebaug Lake State Park Scenic Reserve, is a public recreation area covering 181 acres (73 ha) in the town of Killingly, Connecticut, offering opportunities for fishing and non-motorized boating.[3] The state park's central feature is Wauregan Reservoir, a lake of natural origin that has had its area and depth increased by a dam at its outlet.[4] The park is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Activities and amenities

Activities center on 88-acre (36 ha) Wauregan Reservoir,[5] also known as Quinebaug Pond[1] and Quinebaug Lake.[6] The lake is an impoundment of Quinebaug Brook, also known as Quandock Brook, with depths reaching over 28 feet.[6] Quinebaug Lake is designated as a bass and catfish management lake.[7] A boat launch is located at the lake's northern extremity.[8]
