Visitors to São Tomé and Príncipe must obtain a visa online or from one of the diplomatic missions of São Tomé and Príncipe in advance unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.

Visa policy

Citizens of the following 45 countries can visit São Tomé and Príncipe without a visa:[1]

1 — up to 15 days.

Holders of normal passports issued by  Taiwan can get a visa on arrival.[1]

Holders of diplomatic or service passports issued to nationals of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Taiwan do not require a visa for São Tomé and Príncipe. In addition holders of official or service passports issued to nationals of Cuba also do not require a visa for São Tomé and Príncipe.[1]

eVisa

Nationals of countries that require a visa may obtain it online through an eVisaST system.[2]

Substitute visa

Holders of a visa issued by the United States or a Schengen area member state do not require a visa for stays up to 15 days.
