Wolfpack Studios
Wolfpack Studios was a video game company based in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1999 by text-MUD veterans J. Todd Coleman, Josef Hall, James Nance, Robert Marsa and Patrick Blanton. Wolfpack's sole product was the fantasy MMORPG Shadowbane, with its accompanying two expansions. The product was launched in March 2003, and the company and intellectual property were acquired by Ubisoft on March 1, 2004.[1]
In May 2006, Ubisoft decided to divest the ongoing Shadowbane game service. Frank Lucero, head of the Austin-based studio, and his partner-to-be Mark Nuasha engaged Ubisoft in buyout discussions. The result was the newly created independent game studio, Stray Bullet Games, LLC.
