A bandy international between Finland and Norway in the 2004 Women's World Championships in Lappeenranta

The Women's Bandy World Championships are a competition between bandy-playing nations. The tournament is administrated by the Federation of International Bandy. It is distinct from the Bandy World Cup Women, a club competition.

Although bandy has been played since the 19th century and was played by both men and women from the start, the first men's world championship were only played in 1957, and the first women ones were only in 2004.

Participating nations

Sweden, Russia, Finland, Norway and USA have participated in every tournament, Canada in all except the first one, Hungary in two and China debuted in 2016.[1] The record number of participants are 7, in 2007, 2008 and 2016.
