Yama, Missouri

Yama is an unincorporated community in Pemiscot County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.^[1]

Variant names were "Yamma" and "Yuma".^[1] It is unknown why the name "Yama" was applied to this community.^[2] The community once had a schoolhouse.^[3]
