Czech Miss (Czech: Česká Miss) is a national Beauty pageant in Czech Republic.
History
Česká Miss was established in 2005 and is organized and produced by Michaela Maláčová, Miss Czechoslovakia 1991 and director of Miss Marketing s.r.o. The pageant used to select one winner to represent the country in Miss Universe from 2005-2009 while the first runner up traditionally participated in Miss Earth pageant.[1] In 2010, the Česká Miss and its rival pageant, Miss České Republiky merged under the direction of Maláčová where two winners were selected.[2] The Česká Miss 2010 winner competed in Miss Universe 2010 and Česká Miss World 2010 vied in Miss World 2010 while the first runner up competed in Miss Earth 2010 pageant. Since 2011 the pageant selects three winners: Česká Miss, Česká Miss World, and Česká Miss Earth to compete in Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth respectively.[1][3][4]
In 2012 for the first time, Czech Miss produced the international winner of Miss Earth 2012, Tereza Fajksová.
