Columba McVeigh

Columba McVeigh (1958 - 1 November 1975) was a man from Northern Ireland who was abducted and killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA). He was listed as one of the "Disappeared" by the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains.

A seventeen-year-old from Donaghmore, County Tyrone, McVeigh disappeared in 1975. The IRA allege he had confessed to being an army agent, instructed to infiltrate the IRA.[1] However, it has never indicated what specific act prompted McVeigh's abduction.[2] A number of unsuccessful searches were carried out for his body since 1999, notably in 2003, 2011, and 2012.[2]
