Golfview was a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, in the United States. Golfview was chartered in 1937, and dissolved in 1997.[1]

History

Golfview was chartered in 1937.[1] The town received its name from its location near the West Palm Beach Golf Course.[2] Because it was located close to the Palm Beach International Airport, Golfview became too noisy and congested to continue to be residential community.[3] In 1987, because of the airport's noise and expansion, a majority of the town's property owners agreed to sell their homes,[4] and the town council agreed to zone the entire town as commercial property.[3]

Golfview was dissolved in 1997.[1]
