Heritage Hills is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 658 at the 2000 census. The area has been annexed by the city of Lone Tree.[2]

Geography

Heritage Hills is located at 39°32′45″N 104°52′56″W / 39.54583°N 104.88222°W / 39.54583; -104.88222 (39.545837, -104.882151).[3]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.9 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 658 people, 235 households, and 207 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 349.1 people per square mile (135.1/km²). There were 277 housing units at an average density of 147.0 per square mile (56.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.58% White, 2.89% African American, 0.30% Native American, 2.58% Asian, 0.91% from other races, and 2.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.26% of the population.

There were 235 households out of which 39.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 83.4% were married couples living together, 3.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 11.9% were non-families. 8.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 0.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 2.99.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 2.3% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 30.5% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 94.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.8 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $110,186, and the median income for a family was $120,532. Males had a median income of $83,273 versus $32,083 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $50,041. None of the families and 1.4% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
