Hyundai Logistics
Hyundai Logistics (Korean: 현대택배, Hanja: 現代宅配) is a Korean logistics and shipping company headquartered in Seoul, Korea, established in 1988. It is part of the family group Hyundai Group.
Hyundai Logistics is known for its white trucks, also known as cargo trucks (hence the company nickname "Big white"). The white color that Hyundai uses on its vehicles and uniforms is called Noble white, after the cargo truck which used the same color. Hyundai Logistics also operates its own commercial vehicle.
Major competitors include Korean National Railroad (Korail), Hutchison Whampoa, Hanjin, Terzo Logistics, and Daehan Logistics. Historically, Hyundai only faced competition from Korail for the inexpensive ground based delivery market. However, Hanjin and Daehan Logistics have expanded into the ground market by acquiring Shipping, Shipyard Cargo Containing and RPS (originally Roadway Package System) and rebranded it as Hyundai Ground. In addition, all logistic acquired Korail and Hutchson Whampoa.
Over the past two decades, Hyundai has erected an international transportation network. It has expanded its portfolio of services into logistics and supply chain offerings.
Today Hyundai Logistics today offers ground and air transportation, rail and over-the-road freight products; international trade management; customs brokerage; consulting and supply chain design; e-commerce solutions; logistics and distribution capabilities, cargo containing, shipping, and financial services related to the supply chain.
