Jeypore Airport (IATA: PYB, ICAO: VEJP) is located 3 kilometres north-west of the town of Jeypore in Odisha, India. The airstrip was constructed in 1962 along with the establishment of a Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) factory nearby at Sunabeda.[1] In the 1980s, Vayudoot operated a daily Bhubaneswar-bound flight via Visakhapatnam.[2]
The airport is spread over 60 acres. The state government has asked the Koraput district administration to identify another 310 acres of land adjoining the existing airstrip to facilitate its expansion.[1] The Odisha government has made a provision of Rs 6 crore for the renovation of the airstrip.[3]

- Starting of international flights means it will connect to US and UK international destinations (as people think )but if it can connect to Myanmaar, Most preferably Bangaladesh, and Srilanka in the beginning it will be better, because bhubaneshore is not metro city.
There has been huge demand to start international flights from Bhubaneshore to neighbouring countries like Bangaladesh (Dhaka (Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport), mymensingh, chittagong (Shah Amanat International Airport), Sylhet (Osmani International Airport), cox Bazar, Barisal, Jessore, Rajsahi, Saidpur), Bhutan (Paro),Nepal (Kathmandu "Tribhuban international airport"), Myanmar (Mandalay International Airport, Yangon International Airport,Naypyidaw International Airport), LAOS (Luang Prabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, Wattay International Airport), Then the purpose can be solved of getting status of International airport.
- There has been long pending demand to start international flights but Central govt is not providing the approval for starting international flights. It can be easy to start weekly flight to the above destinations then after public demand it can be increased. Odisha state govt needs to find out which are the flights operating to india, then contacting the flight operator international operation can happen. Simply relaying on central aviation ministry to start international operation will take decade to start operation instead form ODISHA AVIATION COMMITTEE which will look after above matter under Odisha Govt and confluence with Odia Culture, language.
- In Thailand (Bangkok "Suvarnabhumi Airport", Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai and Lamphun "Chiang Mai International Airport",
Hat Yai International Airport, Udon Thani International Airport, Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport), Hongkong (Chek Lap Kok Hong Kong International Airport), Singapore "Changi airport", Srilanka "Colombo",Kuwait, malayasia ("Kuala lumpur", Subang International Airport, Senai International Airport,Batu Berendam "Malacca International Airport",Langkawi International Airport, Penang International Airport), Oman "muscat international airport", United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi International Airport, Dubai International Airport, Fujairah International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Sharjah International Airport),Qatar (Doha "Hamad International Airport"), Saudi Arbia (Dammam "King Fahd International Airport", Jeddah "King Abdulaziz International Airport",Riyadh"King Khalid International Airport", Medina (Madinah)"Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport", Al-Hofuf, Al-Ahsa"Al-Ahsa International Airport", Yanbu"Prince Abdul Mohsin bin Abdulaziz International Airport").
