Jharia Khas is a census town in Dhanbad district [1] in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Jharia Khas had a population of 19,808. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Jharia Khas has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 43%. In Jharia Khas, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
