Make in Maharashtra is an initiative started by Government of Maharashtra on sidelines of Make in India initiative by Government of India.[1]

Main objective of this government initiative is to create business friendly atmosphere in Maharashtra by increasing ease of doing business as much as possible. Main target is to increase the Foreign Direct Investment and Local Investment in the region to further increase the industrialisation in Maharashtra.

Reliance aerospace will invest $1 billion for an aerospace park in Mihan near Nagpur.[5] General Motors announced investments worth $1 billion in its plant in Talegaon, Pune. Foxconn announced it will invest $ 5 billion over the next five years in Maharashtra.[6] Brindley Technologies (www.BrindleyTech.com) announced it will set up IT/ITeS offshore development center (ODC) for their clientele from across the globe in ( Mumbai & Pune ) Maharashtra. Company also planned to setup their ATM & KIOSK, Payment Solutions and Data Center services offices in Navi Mumbai & Thane. Company has plans to create these cities as its world's offshore development center (ODC).
