Ryota Yamagata (山縣 亮太 Yamagata Ryōta, born 10 June 1992) is a Japanese sprinter holding Japan's 4th-fastest time for 100m of 10.03 seconds.

He won the bronze medal in the Medley relay at the 2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics.^[1]

In the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Yamagata was part of the 4x100m relay team for Japan, which took the silver medal in the final.^[2]
