The Secrest Octagon Barn is an historic octagonal barn which is located near Downey, Johnson County, Iowa. The barn was constructed in 1883 by George Frank Longerbean, an untrained builder, for Joshua Hunt Secrest, a local farmer.[2] On November 5, 1974, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.[1]
