Two c's in a k
"Two c's in a k" (short for "two cunts in a kitchen") is slang used within the advertising industry for a type of advertisement, generally showing two women in a domestic scene, discussing, using, or otherwise portraying the advertiser's product in a positive manner. The term was used by Madison Avenue advertising executives in the 1980s.[1]
This method has been typical for advertising targeted at women, such as television commercials for household cleaning products,[2] personal care products[3] or feminine hygiene products, such as a 1959 advertisement for Pursettes tampons which depicted two women discussing tampons over coffee.[4] Special tutorial marketing films for the salesmen and marketing staff only featured actresses displaying exactly how to apply tampons and other feminine products.
