The Willimantic Footbridge is a pedestrian bridge in the Willimantic section of Windham, Connecticut. It was built in 1906 to connect the commercial core to the southern residential part of Willimantic across the Willimantic River. The bridge also crosses over a railroad freight yard and Riverside St. In 1979, the bridge was listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The 635-foot bridge was built by the Owego Bridge Company for $13,000 and includes five spans with a through truss construction.[2] This bridge is a popular site in Willimantic.
