Necrophage
Necrophages, are olophages that obtain nutrients by consuming decomposing dead animal biomass.[1] The term derives from Greek nekros, meaning 'dead', and phagein, meaning 'to eat'.
In Popular Culture
- The Witcher series, where 'necrophages' is a broad group of monsters that feed on corpses.
