Valentin Granatkin

Valentin Aleksandrovich Granatkin (Russian: Валентин Александрович Гранаткин; 3 [16] in July 1908, the village Ryblovo, Bronnitsy district, Moscow Governorate, Russian Empire - November 2, 1979, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR) was a Soviet football, bandy, ice hockey and a sports official.[1] He graduated from the Higher Party School of the Communist Party. Honored Master of Sports (1942), Honored Cultural Worker of the RSFSR (1968), engineer.

Chairman of the Football Federation of the Soviet Union (1959-1964, August 8, 1968-1972).[2] FIFA vice-president (August 1947 – 1950). First of FIFA Vice-President (1955-1979). Chairman of the FIFA Amateur Committee (1968-1979).[3]
