China railways CIT trains
China Railways CIT trains refers to high-speed test trains that are used on the Chinese High Speed railways, CIT means Comprehensive Inspection Train. usually ordered by Chinese Ministry of Rail (MOR) or China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS).
The trains equipped with special devices to monitor the condition of the track, wheel-rail force, Catenary, Pantograph, communication system and signal system, sometimes the trains are used for speed test.
Basically the built of these trainsets are based on their original commercial designs, like the CIT001 (based on CRH5) and CIT400A (based on CRH380A), the CIT380A trainset was converted from the prototype of CRH380A (CRH2-150C), while some of the trainset was re-equipping of commercial trains, which are not designated as CIT trains by names with normal series numbers instead.
List of CIT trains
CRH5J-0501
CRH5J-0501 (Origin name CIT001) is an 8-car trainset based on CRH5 design, service as 250 km/h test train.
The CIT001 was ordered by China Academy of Railway Sciences On April 2, 2007, and was co-designed by CARS and CNR. the official name is Code Zero Comprehensive Inspection Train. The train is painted with yellow and white color and started test run on July 1, 2007.[1] came into service on June 6, 2008.

CRH380AM-0204
On December 7, 2010, During the 7th World High-speed Rail Conference held in Beijing, Officer from the CSR Group Confirmed that China will launch High Speed test in 2011 and will try to break the current speed record - 574.8 km/h achieved by French trainset V150,[8] which confirmed CSR was developing the CIT500 (renamed CRH380AM) trainset.[9]
On December 22, 2011, the train, officially named Higher Speed Experimental Train,[10] rolled off of production lines. It is scheduled to enter testing in the near future.[11] The train set is composed of 6 motored cars with a power output of 22,800 kW, which results in an extremely high power to weight ratio.[12]
