Jichi-idai Station (自治医大駅 Jichi-idai eki) is a railway station on the Utsunomiya Line in Shimotsuke, Tochigi, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It is named for Jichi Medical University.

Lines

Jichi-idai Station is served by the Utsunomiya Line (Tohoku Main Line), and is 90.7 km from the starting point of the line at Tokyo. Through services to and from the Tokaido Line and Yokosuka Line are also provided via the Shonan-Shinjuku Line and Ueno-Tokyo Line.

History

Jichi-idai Station opened on 27 April 1983. With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.
