Vaux-sur-Somme is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. It is notable for the landing of famous flying ace Manfred von Richthofen, better known as the Red Baron during World War I, in mysterious circumstances. Richthofen landed here in 1918 after being fatally wounded.
