Darjeeling Pulbazar (community development block) is an administrative division in Darjeeling Sadar subdivision of Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Lodhma, Darjeeling and Pulbazar police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Bijanbari. Pattabong Tea Garden is a census town in this block.[1][2]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Darjeeling Pulbazar CD Block had a total population of 126,935 of which 105,150 were rural and 21,785 were urban. There were 63,828 males and 63,107 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 5,863 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 36,563.[3]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Darjeeling Pulbazar CD Block was 93,091 out of which 50,630 were males and 42,461 were females.[3]
