Old Malda (community development block) is an administrative division in Malda Sadar subdivision of Malda district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Maldah police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Narayanpur.[1]
Geography
Jatradanga, a constituent panchayat of Old Malda community development block, is located at 25°03′23″N 88°12′42″E / 25.0563600°N 88.2117600°E.
Old Malda community development block has an area of 228 km2.[2]

Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Maldah (Old) CD Block had a total population of 156,365 of which 135,855 were rural and 20,510 were urban. There were 80,108 males and 76,257 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 50,287 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 23,536.[4]
Literacy
As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Maldah (Old) CD Block was 80,614 out of which 45,278 were males and 35,336 were females.[4]
